Sherry and Rishi's engagement photos prove that even if the weather isn't playing nice, you can still have a blast. Despite a forecast of rain and clouds, these two lovebirds didn't let anything dampen their spirits during their photo session.

A Love Story that Started in Queens

Their love story began on a dating app at the end of 2018. After a few weeks of chatting and talking on the phone, they finally met up in Astoria, Queens for their first date in January 2019. Both were nervous and excited to finally meet in person- as soon as they started talking, the butterflies kicked in, and they knew they had something special. So special, in fact, that they deleted their dating apps not long after.

A Snowy Central Park Proposal

Fast forward to January 2022, and Rishi was ready to pop the question. He tried to be sneaky by scheduling dinner dates nearly every night for the next two weeks on their shared Google calendar. But a massive blizzard hit New York City, dumping a foot of snow on the ground. Somehow, Rishi still convinced Sherry to go out in the snow, under the guise of "dinner" and that one of his friends wanted to meet up in Central Park. Little did she know, Rishi had something else in mind. He led her to a gazebo in Central Park, dropped to one knee, and asked her to be his forever. Of course, she said yes!

Engagement Photos at Fort Tryon Park

Fort Tryon Park is another scenic, expansive park in Upper Manhattan that features sweeping views of the Hudson River and is home to the city’s largest garden, The Heather Garden. Compared to Central Park, Fort Tryon Park is generally quieter and less crowded, which makes it a perfect location for couples who are looking for a more private and relaxed engagement session. The winding paths, lush greenery, and river overlooks create a beautiful mix of nature and skyline views — ideal for romantic, connected photos without the heavy foot traffic you might find elsewhere in Manhattan.
