A Peaceful Morning Session at the Cypress Tree Tunnel

I love love that Anneke and Griffin were down for a mid-morning engagement session at the Cypress Tree Tunnel in Point Reyes National Seashore. While most people aim for golden hour, there’s something uniquely peaceful and soft about the light in the morning—especially when the mist rolls through.

There weren’t many people around, so it truly felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. The Cypress Tree Tunnel is a breathtaking location—tall, dramatic trees line both sides of the road, and the light filtering through the fog creates a cinematic feel. If you’ve ever considered a Point Reyes engagement photoshoot, this spot is an absolute gem.

Connection, Calm, and Great Conversation

Anneke and Griffin brought such a calm, kind energy to the session—honestly, a dream to photograph. We talked about everything from their dogs and careers to the best food they’ve eaten (they’re total foodies, which makes sense because same!).

Can’t Wait for the Wedding!

This session left me so excited for their wedding next year—I already know it’s going to be full of love, laughter, and incredible eats too.
