When Daicy and Brandon asked me to photograph their engagement session at UC Davis, I couldn’t have been more excited. Not only is UC Davis their alma mater, but it’s also where we all first met. Talk about full-circle moments!

A Sentimental UC Davis Engagement Session

When planning engagement sessions, I always encourage couples to choose locations that resonate with their story. For Daicy and Brandon, UC Davis wasn’t just a place they attended college—it was where their journey together began.

We kicked things off at the dorms where they first connected and spent so much time together. From there, we made our way to the exact spot where Brandon asked Daicy to be his girlfriend—such a sweet moment to revisit 🥲

Burrito Bowls & Golden Hour: A UC Davis Favorite

One of my favorite parts of the session was the impromptu burrito bowl break at the COHO (short for Coffee House, a beloved campus hub). Back in their college days, Daicy and Brandon used to grab burrito bowls here all the time, so naturally, they had to see if they were still as tasty years later.

Spoiler alert: they absolutely were!

Unexpected Rain, a Rainbow, and the Arboretum Glow

The weather during their session was a little unpredictable (classic Northern California, right?). We started off with sunny skies, but as the day went on, a light rain and mist began to roll in. We embraced the moment, and as we strolled near the UC Davis Arboretum, we were rewarded with a beautiful rainbow over the trees.

Capturing a Love Story on Campus

Daicy and Brandon, thank you so much for trusting me to document this special milestone in your lives. It was such a joy frolicking through UC Davis together and reliving some of your favorite memories. Your energy, laughter, and love for each other made this session unforgettable.
