We explored the Ritz-Carlton property from the top of the hotel down to the beach, taking advantage of the soft, even light the overcast skies provided. Athena and Alan had a wonderful energy together — their comfort with each other came through in every photo.

Half Moon Bay tends to be overcast and cool, especially in the summer months. If you're hoping for sun, spring and fall offer higher chances of clearer skies. That said, the soft light creates a dreamy tone that photographs beautifully. The beach and surrounding cliffs provide plenty of space for both candid and posed shots, making it a versatile location for coastal engagement photos.
